CHEMFAB® Non-Stick Solutions
Company Capabilities

As a worldwide leader in many industries from flat glass to construction products, abrasives to fibreglass yarns and woven fabrics, SAINT-GOBAIN is proud to have CHEMFAB® Non-stick solutions as one of its leading brands within the Performance Plastics group. With global manufacturing and an extensive distribution network, Saint-Gobain offers the solutions to your non-stick requirements and the service and reliability demanded in today’s world. Saint-Gobain's PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) Teflon® composites combine PTFE with specially woven fabrics utilizing fiberglass, aramid (Kevlar®), and similar high strength, high temperature resistant yarns.
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has complete product control on critical materials; from twisting and weaving the fibers to coating and laminating the woven reinforcements. Even the multilayer PTFE film used as a surface laminate is produced by Saint-Gobain.

    Key Capabilities
 Twisiting yarns
  • In-house fabric design including twisting & weaving facility - 4.7m (5.1yd). Manufacturing begins with the selection of a fabric construction best meeting the projected application requirements. Special yarns are twisted and plied as required.
Coating fabrics
  • Coating width - 4.8m - After inspection, the woven fabrics are coated with PTFE (Teflon®) in special towers. During multiple passes the coating is fused to the base fabric under high temperatures. The PTFE dispersion may contain colorants or other additives for special properties dependent upon project requirements.
Laminating technology
  • Unique fluoropolymer multi-laminar  & extruded film production up to 1.5m (1.6yd) . These films are used to provide higher barrier properties and laminated to the base fabric. The film is then an integral part of the composite - Saint Gobain offers lamination of higher performance composites up to 2.3m (2.5yd).
Conveyor Belt fabrication
  • Highly developed fabrication technology - In addition to slitting and die-cutting, there is significant custom fabrication of process conveyor belts and other items including fabric radomes, protective suits and shelters.
Research and development
  • Largest Research and Development group for PTFE fabrics & ongoing technical support from the Saint Gobain Group
Widest range of PTFE film & fabric products
  • Widest range of PTFE  fabrics and laminates. More than 500 roll good items on offer ranging from 40g/m² to >2000g/m² (1.2 to 60oz/yd²)in weight and 0.05mm to 2.5mm (2 to 100mils) in thickness including a wide range of fabric reinforcements as well as PTFE and silicone coatings.
Final inspection and testing
  • Quality assurance - ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 accreditations in place and company wide commitment to world class manufacturing
*Teflon® is a registered Trade mark of DuPont
